Training
Welcome to District 5190’s Training, Learning and Resource Page
One of the key benefits of being a Rotarian is continuous learning: about Rotary, personal growth, and leadership development. We are fortunate to have one of the most respected and robust district training curricula in the Rotary World.
- Our Training Vision is that Rotary District 5190 will be recognized worldwide for our effectiveness in leadership development, for supporting and strengthening our clubs’ ability to advance the Object of Rotary through the Five Avenues of Service, and for our commitment to continuous learning and continuous improvement.
- Our Training Mission is to serve our clubs and keep our district training organization responsive to club members’ learning needs in an ever-changing environment.
- Goal: Provide a coordinated approach to Training in D5190, fulfilling strategic priorities, delivering effective training on topics of critical importance and interest, in formats that reach a large percentage of Rotarians in our District.
- Goal: Review and revise current training curricula as needed to improve our delivery and materials, to stay abreast of changes in the Rotary world, and to model our vision of continuous improvement.
What do we offer and who should go to each training? Click on the links below and to the left to see what is available.
When are classes offered? The right side of the home page shows any upcoming trainings and/or events and will have links for registering for them. If you have trouble registering, you may email glewis5190@gmail.org for assistance.
Are you interested in becoming part of our Training Cadre? It’s fun to be part of the bigger picture and fun to serve our fellow Rotarians. We ask that all District 5190 trainers go through Facilitation Training. Most of our trainers typically facilitate just a few classes or segments per year, based on your schedule and availability. Contact the District Trainer for more information.
Do you know … ? We are currently looking for some help with distance learning ideas, techniques, approaches, etc. If you are interested, please contact the District Trainer. Thank you!
